When we think of marketplaces, we often think of the giants of the net, such as Amazon or Ebay. However, some companies have decided to choose a virtuous trade based on short circuits. These were the ambitions of the Electro Dépôt group in creating Reconomia,  a Marketplace for reconditioned products, powered by Marjory. 

The Reconomia Marketplace: an ambitious project taking up four challenges

Wanting to offer an ecosystem dedicated to artisan repairers, the Electro Dépôt group was naturally interested in Marketplaces. This economic model enables us to put repairers and buyers of repaired and refurbished products in touch with each other. Reconomia was born from this new business model. 

Reconomia is a circular economy marketplace based on local repairers. The value of the platform’s customer promise is achieved through the proximity between the defective product, the repairer and the customer. 

The launch of Marketplace is constrained by operational realities and the Reconomia project had meet four objectives: 

• Launch a Marketplace in 4 months
• To digitise repairers who are not used to e-commerce
• Meet the specific requirements of refurbished products
• To have an agile, simple and scalable technical base

To meet these challenges, the Electro Dépôt group called on Marjory’s expertise, innovation and execution

The Marjory solution, adaptive and innovative

Marjory integrates in its solution a library of expertise allowing an optimal accompaniment of the Marketplace project and a rapid rise in skills. Thus, 25 key processes were used to frame the project. 

Marjory’s solution allowed to orchestrate all the flows in record time while facilitating the creation of an onboarding process adapted to the repairers, the geolocation of the product offers and the reimbursement of the customers…  For example, in the case  of Reconomia, the Marketplace required a different VAT management according to the profiles of the sellers. 

To meet Reconomia’s expectations, Marjory provided powerful tools and experts to execute the business vision and free the young Marketplace from technical constraints. Thus, the automation of key processes has facilitated the implementation of seller onboarding, KYC management as well as customer payment and automatic seller compensation. All automation processes were tailor-made to meet Reconomia’s exact needs and expectations.
